Manila, Philippines — Sanitary Care Products Asia (SCPA), Inc. shows its support to biodiversity by adopting a forest and partnering with Haribon Foundation, a membership organization committed to nature conservation through community empowerment and scientific excellence. The partnership aims to ensure biodiversity in different rainforests in the country by sustaining the different life systems in them.

The partnership with Haribon Foundation, which is part of Haribon’s Adopt-a-Seedling for the Rainforest Organizations and Advocates (ROAD) to 2020 campaign, is testament to SCPA’s principle of looking after the ecosystem by planting native tree seedlings and financially supporting the maintenance of the seedlings and location within the next three years. The ROAD to 2020 is an environmental conservation movement that aims to restore a million hectares of rainforests in the Philippines by planting native tree species by 2020.
SCPA’s adopted forest is located at the Mt. Banahaw-San Cristobal Protected Landscape (MBSCPL) in Quezon Province. With the help of Haribon Foundation volunteers, 100 SCPA employees will plant 1,000 native tree seedlings towards the end of the year.
