TAGUIG, METRO MANILA – Sanitary Care Products Asia, Inc. (SCPA) achieves a landmark distinction at EMPOWERCon 2025, receiving the first-ever Strengths Corporate Impact Citation Award last September 30, 2025.
This prestigious recognition, presented by Strengths Philippines, honors the company’s pioneering and sustained commitment to embedding a Strengths-based culture across all levels of SCPA—from leadership and employee development to daily collaborations and performance excellence.
EMPOWERCon 2025, held at the Every Nation Building in Bonifacio Global City, marked a decade of transforming lives through Strengths-based solutions. Gathering over a thousand participants, the event featured global experts and industry leaders who shared their insights on achieving well-being and driving organizational success through Strengths.

What a Strengths-Based Culture Means
A Strengths-based culture focuses on identifying and developing what people naturally do best. Instead of zeroing in on weaknesses, it empowers individuals and teams to recognize their innate talents and apply them towards shared goals.
Backed by Gallup’s global research, this approach has been proven to boost engagement, collaboration, and overall well-being—values that align with SCPA’s people-first philosophy.
A Milestone in Strengths-Based Leadership
The Strengths Advocate Citation marks the first time Strengths Philippines has recognized a corporation for its exemplary integration of Strengths into its business DNA. SCPA was chosen for its consistent and comprehensive approach to developing its people’s unique talents, which has led to measurable gains in employee engagement, well-being, and overall business performance.
Through this award, SCPA now sets the benchmark for corporate Strengths integration in the country, reflecting its belief that success begins with understanding and nurturing what is best in every individual.
Company Culture Rooted in Strengths
Accepting the award on behalf of the company, SCPA President and CEO Venjosef M. Sio shared:
” Being recognized by Strengths Philippines is a meaningful validation of the path we chose almost ten years ago — to study what’s right about people and build on what they’re good at.
What began as a leadership initiative has become part of how we work every day — in the way we collaborate, develop our people, and support each other to do our best work.
As we approach our 10th year of Strengths next year, this recognition reminds us that culture doesn’t happen overnight — it’s built through daily effort, self-awareness, and the belief that people grow most when their strengths are put to work.”
Apart from Sio, the other representatives from SCPA included: Micky Nieto (HR and Admin Manager), Fritzie Mae Arahan, Jarem Phil Palomata, Eden Mae Urbiztondo, and Gil Peter Canlas. The team joined immersive workshops and fireside chats that focused on translating Strengths into daily habits, leadership practices, and high-performing team dynamics.
Inside SCPA’s Strengths Program

SCPA’s Strengths Program, launched in 2016 under the guidance of Sio, a Gallup-certified Strengths Coach, uses the ClifftonStrengths assessment to help employees discover and develop their natural talents. Over the years, SCPA has expanded this initiative through Individual Journey, Strengths Manager Track, Team Sessions, Strengths Days, and Strengths Team Building. To date, more than 500 employees have unlocked their Top 5 Strengths, with many advancing to deeper coaching and role development.
What sets SCPA apart is how it uses Strengths not as a one-time program, but as a strategic framework for growth — empowering personal mastery, building complementary partnerships, and cultivating an engaged, high-performing workforce that drives business results.
This deliberate, company-wide integration of Strengths into the culture is what earned SCPA its first-ever Strengths Advocate Citation for Corporates. The award recognizes the company’s systematic and sustained approach to making Strengths a core part of how it leads, develops, and empowers its people.
SCPA’s recognition at EMPOWERCon 2025 affirms its role as a leader in cultivating a strengths-based culture in the Philippines. Moving forward, the company aims to deepen this integration across all teams and functions, ensuring that strengths remain at the heart of how SCPA leads, learns, and grows—together.
