Sanicare harnesses NetSuite to boost growth
SAN JOSE, California – A local manufacturer of home and facial paper products has joined a growing list of companies that harness the power of the cloud in its bid to boost business growth.
Cloud software company NetSuite announced at its recent annual SuiteWorld conference here that Sanitary Care Products Asia (Sanicare) has implemented NetSuite to support rapid business growth.
By using NetSuite, Sanicare was able to run mission-critical business processes across 22 sales offices including financials, order management, reporting, shipping, bill of materials, multi-location inventory management, and multicurrency management in peso and Indonesian rupiah.
At the conference, NetSuite has unveiled a number of product innovations, including revenue management, SuiteCommerce, custom records and a unified system of tracking both orders and subscriptions – enhancements to NetSuite OneWorld designed to provide global enterprises with the agility and flexibility of a start-up, while meeting their complex industry, regulatory and tax requirements at global scale.
Building on the momentum of enhancements to NetSuite OneWorld announced in December 2015, the new product delivers deep global financial capabilities, global control, governance, risk and compliance features and enhanced financial reporting. In conjunction with all the global enterprise-ready capabilities available in NetSuite OneWorld 16, the new product further helps global companies increase operational efficiency, streamline financial reporting, deepen local and global compliance, localize business processes and deliver peace of mind for CFOs, controllers and finance users.
“The robust functionality and flexibility of NetSuite OneWorld makes it the last enterprise resource planning system you’ll ever need,” said NetSuite chief executive officer Zach Nelson.
“Whether they’re a fast-growing start-up or a multinational enterprise, NetSuite continues to meet customer demands with features that enable them to confidently expand into new markets, launch new products or services and adapt to customer and market demands with a unified and agile cloud-based platform,’’ Nelson said.
NetSuite founder and chairman of the board Evan Goldberg, for his part, said the Suite billing and all of NetSuite’s product innovations will be available to Filipino customers in the near future.
The Philippines has one of the largest NetSuite offices in Asia.
“We’ve build everything with the expectation that it will be available globally. I think that makes it a lot easier for us to move these capabilities in the market, knowing that the companies are going to get our support. The Philippine market will be some of the earliest who will avail of these products,” Goldberg said.
Benefits of the cloud
In implementing NetSuite, Sanicare will gain the advantage of managing high order and invoice volume, as well as operational efficiency, and the agility to get the system up and running rapidly while having a real-time view into its business performance.
Another advantage for Sanicare is that NetSuite’s flexible and agile SuiteCloud Platform would allow the company to build industry specific functionality, in addition to EDI integrations with retail partners, streamlining their order fulfillment process.
“Before NetSuite, we did not have a comprehensive view of our business, only islands of information,” said Sanicare president Ven Sio. “The control we now have over our raw materials and finished goods is critical to our continued growth,” Sio said.
Sio said NetSuite is vital to Sanicare’s continued success because of the wide range of business benefits it can deliver, which includes efficient order management that provides streamlined processing of 20,000 invoices and 2,000 payables per month.
“It also enables the company to decrease the days needed to generate financial statements from 10 days to five, financial management which seamlessly manages relationships with 1,000 vendors,” Sio said.
By moving to the NetSuite cloud, Sanicare’s vital records and data-driven relationships are no longer at risk from fire or other disaster events. The solution grows as Sanicare’s needs grow, including the demand planning capabilities Sanicare will soon activate to further refine its production schedules.
“We now have the tools to understand how our business is performing at all times, from the largest retail store down to the smallest shops,” Sio said.
Today, more than 30,000 companies and subsidiaries depend on NetSuite to run complex, mission-critical business processes globally in the cloud. Since its inception in 1998, NetSuite has established itself as the leading provider of cloud-based financials/enterprise resource planning and omnichannel commerce software applications for businesses of all sizes.
