[TAGUIG, PHILIPPINES] – Sanitary Care Products, Asia, Inc. (SCPA), a leading hygiene company committed to producing quality products and fostering a strengths-based culture, recently sent a team to the Gallup at Work Summit in Singapore to gain valuable insights into the latest trends in workplace culture, employee engagement, and leadership development.  

The participants were members from SCPA’s HR team, which included team leaders and those focused on organizational development and culture (pictured above along with Ruth Angeles, Head of Jollibee’s of Global Organization, Leadership, and Culture, and Head of Region Philippines Human Resources).

The summit, held on October 10, 2024, was a significant step forward for SCPA in reinforcing its commitment to a strengths-based approach to employee development. The summit’s focus on leveraging individual and team strengths aligned perfectly with SCPA’s core philosophy.  

By gaining insights into the latest research and best practices, SCPA’s HR team is better equipped to identify and develop employee strengths, foster a positive work environment, and drive organizational success.

Attending the summit Gallup at Work Summit was a pivotal moment for Team SCPA. The insights gained by the team inspired them to reimagine their approach to employee engagement and workplace culture.  

Data from Gallup painted a pressing challenge: prevalence of negative emotions in the workplace.  This emphasized the importance of prioritizing employee well-being and fostering a positive work environment. SCPA adheres to this challenge again by continuously implementing and developing programs that enhance employee performance and boost job satisfaction. 

To achieve this, the team will invest in leadership development and coaching programs that offer employees and managers the tools needed for a supporting work environment. By recognizing the unique strengths of each team member, SCPA’s summit delegates aim to leverage these talents to build high-performing teams that are inspired and engaged.

The team’s attendance at the summit reflects its dedication to building a resilient, growth-oriented culture that prioritizes growth for individual and organizational success. The 2024 Gallup Summit imparted innovative approaches that SCPA can implement to remain competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.  

For example, the company aims to enhance its leadership development to build managers capable of seamlessly navigating changes and establishing meaningful conversations with their teams. “Additionally, we aim to expand coaching opportunities for employees, further supporting their abilities and strengths,” said HR officer Jarem Philomata, talking about employee development plans inspired by the summit, We will also focus on reinforcing psychological safety across teams, ensuring an environment where employees feel empowered to share and contribute. Furthermore, we plan to promote self-care and self-regulation practices that support well-being while fostering a strong sense of personal accountability.”
