SCPA celebrates 28 years of great love what we do and the people we do it for

[TAGUIG, PHILIPPINES] – Sanitary Care Products Asia, Inc. (SCPA), a leading provider of hygiene products in the Philippines, celebrated its 28th anniversary on October 21, 2024. Founded in October 1996 by Renato Sio, the paper company started from Sio’s desire to provide quality paper products to the Filipinos – a thought that was triggered by his wife Babie’s need for tissue that was friendly to people with sensitive skin. 

Since its establishment, the company has grown from a small business to a nationwide industry leader, boasting of 23 sales and distribution offices and seven converting plants.  

Twenty-Eight Years of Service and Stewardship

Known for its commitment to using high-quality, bleach-free raw materials, SCPA has been a fierce promoter of top-notch paper products. Their dedication to producing quality paper items led to a vibrant portfolio of well-loved brands, such as Sanicare, Femme, Cheers, Tisyu, Naturale, Jade, SCPA Solutions, and Punaas – the latter being the company’s newest brand.  

During the anniversary celebration, President Ven Sio expressed gratitude to the Lord for the company’s continued success. He reflected on the challenges faced by the company, including the Asian Financial Crisis of 1998 and a devastating fire in 2012, and acknowledged the Lord’s guiding hand during these trials, as well as the resilient nature of the team. Considering the company as a gift from God, he urged the team to be good stewards of the work laid out ahead, as well as the people served.

Sales and Marketing Director Lea Pacis also highlighted the significance of “Thinking like a first-generation leader.” She encourages the current team members to have the same passion as SCPA’s first team of employees during the late 90s. “Are you ready to take possession of what lies ahead?” was also her recurring question, emphasizing that the team shouldn’t just want a better future or success; they must be ready for such goals and achievements.

As SCPA marks its 28th anniversary, this milestone serves as a testament to the company’s unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and social responsibility. Looking ahead, SCPA remains dedicated to serving the Filipino people by providing high-quality, hygienic paper products while upholding its core values of excellence, integrity, and compassion.

The anniversary event was filled with festivities, including a delicious lunch from Juan Carlo catering. Employees were also treated to a special announcement of the upcoming Christmas party theme, “Himig ng Pasko: Paskuhan ng Awitan at Sayawan,” which will feature caroling and Filipino festivities.
